Manage financial years
Section titled “Manage financial years”Create and control a financial year
- Open Settings → Financial Control.
- Enter the Financial Year Label, Start Date and End Date, then select Create.
- Choose Make Active for the operating year.
- Before closing a period, reconcile invoices, payments, estimates, credit notes and reports.
- Select Lock only when new billing changes should be prevented for that period.
- Use Unlock only through an approved correction process, then relock after review.
Invoice, payment, estimate and credit-note workflows require an open financial year for the effective date. Only one year is active at a time, but historical records retain their own year context.
