Set Business Hours and Availability

Business availability defines when a branch operates. Staff availability separately defines when an individual can work. Both must support the requested appointment time.

Create the location first. Confirm its normal weekly opening days, start and end times, and booking slot interval. Staff shifts should fit within the relevant branch hours.

Configure weekly business availability
  1. Open Business → Manage Availability.
  2. Select the location you want to configure.
  3. Select Edit Weekly Availability.
  4. Enable each day when the branch accepts work.
  5. Enter that day’s opening and closing time.
  6. Set the slot interval used to build booking windows.
  7. Leave a day disabled when the branch is closed.
  8. Save and review the weekly summary for the selected location.

Saving replaces the existing weekly pattern for that branch. Check every day before confirming; a disabled day is stored as closed.

Add a staff member’s working pattern
  1. Open Team → Manage Staff.
  2. Find the staff member and select Availability.
  3. Choose at least one working day.
  4. Enter the shift start and end time.
  5. Add break start and end times when applicable.
  6. Save Availability.

Yepsta uses branch hours to define the operating window and staff shifts to show individual working availability. Service duration and buffer time also affect whether a slot can fit.

  • If no location appears, check location access and whether an active branch exists.
  • If saving removes a day, reopen the editor and confirm the day was enabled with both times.
  • If an appointment time is unavailable, compare branch hours, staff shift, break, service duration, buffer and existing work.
  • If the staff Availability action is missing, check Manage Staff permission and location access.
