Work with Lead Activities and Follow-ups
Activities preserve what happened. Follow-ups add a due date, owner and next action so the team can work from a shared queue.
Record an interaction
Section titled “Record an interaction”Open the lead and choose Add note or Record contact. Select the supported contact type and direction, then enter a concise outcome. Recording a call, email or meeting logs the event; it does not perform the external communication.
Schedule and complete follow-ups
Section titled “Schedule and complete follow-ups”Manage the next commitment
- In the Lead Focus Workspace, choose Schedule follow-up.
- Set the due date and time, channel, owner, priority, subject and optional notes.
- Open CRM → Follow-ups and choose Due, Overdue, Upcoming or Completed.
- Filter by permitted location, owner or lead/contact search.
- Select Complete, enter the required outcome and optionally schedule the next follow-up.
- When permitted, move the lead to another active pipeline stage as part of completion.
Assigned to me uses the signed-in user’s linked staff identity. Whole-team or another owner’s queue requires broader access. Pending follow-ups can be edited or cancelled; completed and cancelled rows remain in history.
Closing a lead as won or lost cancels pending follow-ups but retains them in the timeline. Reopen the lead before scheduling new open-pipeline work.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Missing assigned work: confirm the dashboard login is linked to the intended staff profile.
- Team follow-ups unavailable: check the exact Follow-ups permission and location access.
- Owner unavailable: the selected person must be active and eligible for the lead’s location.
- Alert missing: check the assignee, Business Alerts inbox and the relevant Notification Centre preference; the saved follow-up remains valid even if delivery fails.
