Use the Task Workspace and My Work
Each Project task has a focused internal workspace and a stable task key. Use it for execution details that belong to the team—not for formal client decisions.
Start from My Work
Section titled “Start from My Work”Go to Projects → My Work → Assigned Tasks to see work in your accessible locations and assignment scope. Use filters and due signals to choose the next task, then open its task workspace.
If resource planning is enabled, My Work can also show proposed milestone allocations that need your acceptance. Accept to confirm the booking, or decline with a useful reason so the planner can reassign it.
Inside a Project, Tasks opens in a dense List with a Board alternative. Use the quick filters for My tasks, overdue, due today, due this week, blocked, unassigned or high-priority work. Selecting a task opens the desktop inspector and keeps the current list, filters and browser history intact.
Use the task workspace
Section titled “Use the task workspace”The workspace brings together:
- title, brief, milestone, dates, priority, estimate and required flag;
- primary assignee and collaborators;
- checklist and one-level subtasks;
- Blocked by and Blocks relationships;
- internal updates and replies;
- task attachments and internal links;
- chronological task activity.
When you select a file, the task shows it as selected but not uploaded yet. Choose the explicit upload action and wait for confirmation before assuming collaborators can open it.
- Read the brief, due date, checklist and blockers before starting.
- Move the task to In Progress when the Active Project allows execution.
- Complete checklist items and add concise internal updates where the team needs context.
- If genuinely blocked, record the reason or link the blocking task.
- Attach supporting internal files to the task, not the client-facing deliverable area.
- Resolve dependencies and required subtasks, then mark the task Done.
Collaborate internally
Section titled “Collaborate internally”Task updates support replies and preserve a focused work history. The author or a task manager can edit an update; the uploader or a task manager can remove an attachment. Updates and task files remain internal and are not shown in the Customer Account.
Use a Client action item when the client must upload, confirm, review or pay. Use a Client Update for a formal progress snapshot. Use a review request for approval of a deliverable version.
Understand assignment changes
Section titled “Understand assignment changes”Changing the primary assignee or collaborators updates access and can send the configured task-assignment notification. Removing a member from the Project may require tasks to be reassigned first.
