Connect a Custom Domain
A custom domain gives customers an approved business-owned address for Yepsta public experiences. It does not move the secure dashboard to that domain.
Choose the public purpose
Section titled “Choose the public purpose”The business-facing workflow currently offers:
- Business website + store: the domain opens the public business website, and the store is available at
/store. - Store only: the domain opens the online store directly.
Business website only is not a request option on the current screen. Booking routes remain public only where the domain scope and booking route belong to the connected business.
For Store only, configure and enable the store before activation. Add at least one intended active product so customers do not reach an empty catalog.
Request and verify a domain
Section titled “Request and verify a domain”Open Online Presence → Custom Domain.
- Enter Your custom domain without
http://orhttps://. - Under What should this domain open?, choose Business website + store or Store only.
- Review the Destination preview.
- Select Submit Request.
- In your domain provider’s DNS manager, add every Host and Value displayed under DNS configuration. This can include ownership, routing and secure-certificate validation records.
- Copy values exactly and avoid duplicate or conflicting records.
- Return to Yepsta and select Verify DNS.
- After ownership is verified, wait for Yepsta review and approval.
- During Secure setup in progress, allow Yepsta to prepare HTTPS and routing. Use Check Status when shown.
- When the status is Active, open Visit homepage and Visit store where applicable.
Customer-facing statuses can include Requested, Waiting for DNS, Waiting for Yepsta approval, Approved, Secure setup in progress, Finalizing secure activation, Active, Rejected, Needs attention and Disabled.
Change scope or cancel a request
Section titled “Change scope or cancel a request”Use Change domain purpose when the page allows it. Changing an active domain between the two supported purposes changes the homepage routing and does not require new DNS or HTTPS records. When provisioning has started and the control is unavailable, contact Yepsta Support.
Before activation, use Cancel Request when the domain should no longer proceed. The current business workflow does not provide a self-service removal action for an active domain; contact Support for an active-domain removal or replacement.
Troubleshoot setup
Section titled “Troubleshoot setup”- Waiting for DNS: compare every record type, Host and Value with the provider. Some providers expect
@for the root domain. - Verification fails: remove duplicate/conflicting records, wait for propagation and retry Verify DNS.
- Waiting for Yepsta approval: ownership is verified; no additional DNS action is needed unless Yepsta asks for it.
- Secure setup in progress: keep DNS unchanged and use Check Status later.
- Needs attention: follow the customer-safe message and contact Support without sending passwords, provider credentials or private account access.
- Active but wrong destination: verify the selected domain purpose and the store/public-profile readiness.
