Assign Services to Staff

Service assignment tells Yepsta which exact offerings a staff member can perform. Categories and parent groups do not automatically make their child services eligible.

Create the staff member’s location and services first. Each selectable service must be active, bookable and belong to the same location as the staff profile.

Set service eligibility
  1. Open Team → Manage Staff.
  2. Find the staff member and select Edit.
  3. Confirm the staff location before changing service choices.
  4. In Assigned Services, open the relevant category or group section.
  5. Select each exact Standard Service or Service Variant the person can perform.
  6. Use Select all only when the staff member is genuinely trained for every listed option.
  7. Clear any service the person should no longer receive.
  8. Save the staff profile.
  9. Open the staff Details page and confirm the Exact Service Eligibility list.

A Service Group is not itself bookable. Select the exact variants required for current appointment allocation. A preserved legacy or group tag may appear for history, but it does not create public-booking eligibility.

Changing the staff location reloads the available service list and clears selections that do not belong to the new branch. Reassign the correct services before saving.

The staff member can be considered for the selected service lines when their shift, branch hours and existing schedule also allow the appointment time.

  • If a service is missing, check its active status, bookable type and location.
  • If only the group appears in older history, assign the current exact variants.
  • If the staff member still cannot receive an appointment, check staff availability, business hours, service duration/buffer and existing bookings.
  • If saving reports an unavailable service, reload the staff form and select only services shown for that location.
