Choose How Your Business Works

Every Yepsta business gets the tools needed to manage services, customers and billing. You then make two separate choices: whether you sell products and whether customers or your team can create appointments.

  • During setup, use the Operations step.
  • After launch, the owner can open Settings → Business Operations.
Choice Turn it on when… If it is off…
Services No choice is needed—services are always included Service lists, customers and billing remain available
Sell products You sell items such as shampoo, spare parts, books or packaged goods Product and stock records stay safe, but public product sales are paused
Accept new appointments Work is reserved for a date and time, such as a salon visit, consultation or class Existing appointments stay available, but no new bookings can be created
Show hours publicly Customers should see your normal opening times Saved hours remain private

The product and appointment choices do not depend on each other. For example:

  • A salon may take appointments and sell hair-care products.
  • A consultant may take appointments without selling products.
  • A repair shop may sell spare parts without using appointment booking.
  • A cleaning or project-based business may use services, customers and billing without products or appointments.
Choose your business operations
  1. Review the Service operations card. This is always active.
  2. Under Do you sell products?, choose Yes only when products are part of the business.
  3. Under Do you use appointments?, choose Yes when new work should be booked for a date and time.
  4. Set the normal weekly opening days and hours for the primary location.
  5. Choose whether those hours should appear to customers.
  6. Review the summary, then save and continue.

Open Settings → Business Operations, update the choices and save.

  • Turning product selling off keeps existing products, stock details and order history. It hides public products and pauses new online orders.
  • Turning appointments off keeps existing and future appointments available to manage. It stops new bookings from customers and the team.
  • Turning either choice back on does not automatically publish a store or make every service bookable. Review the related public settings before sharing links with customers.
  • If product publishing is unavailable, confirm Sell products is on.
  • If a new appointment cannot be created, confirm Accept new appointments is on.
  • If customers cannot see opening hours, confirm Show hours publicly is on.
  • If online ordering is still unavailable after enabling products, review Website Manager, Store Manager and the products you want to show.
  • If booking is still unavailable after enabling appointments, review services, staff and working hours.
