Configure Your Business Identity and Public Details

Business Identity contains the organisation-wide details used by the dashboard, invoices, customer communication and public presentation. Branch identity is maintained separately.

Confirm the approved business name, category, customer-facing contact person, public description and brand colour. Keep legal GST information separate from promotional copy.

Open Settings → Business Identity. For website, WhatsApp, Instagram, phone or email links, use Settings → Social & Public Links.

Maintain the organisation-wide profile
  1. Review Business Name and Category under Basic Identity.
  2. Add or update the approved Tagline, Brand Color and Description fields shown for the business.
  3. Review the contact person and business address.
  4. If owner email or mobile is managed by Account Settings, leave the protected values unchanged here and use the OTP workflow under Account Settings when a change is required.
  5. Review the legal and billing identity. For a GST-registered business, confirm the legal name, GSTIN, billing state, address and pincode.
  6. Save the business profile and confirm the success message.
  7. Open Social & Public Links to add only links controlled by the business.

The saved identity becomes the organisation-level source for supported dashboard, billing, public profile and customer-communication surfaces. Yepsta also synchronises relevant organisation information to the default location.

  • Use the public trading name in Business Name and the registered identity in legal/GST fields.
  • Keep descriptions customer-safe; do not add private owner or customer information.
  • A location can have its own trade name, legal override, contact, GSTIN and invoice details under Locations & GST.
  • Email and mobile changes can affect sign-in and require OTP verification.
  • If a field is not editable, check whether Account Settings manages it.
  • If GST validation fails, compare the GSTIN and state code with approved business records.
  • If a public link is rejected, enter the complete destination or contact value requested by its link type.
