Build Class Schedules and Record Attendance

The weekly timetable creates Classes for an Open Batch. Class Schedule is where you review and change individual dates; Attendance is where you mark the learner roster.

Prepare recurring Classes
  1. Open the Batch and select Timetable, or use its Schedule setup step.
  2. Add each weekly rule with effective dates, weekday, start time, duration and instructors.
  3. Select Save draft while preparing the rules.
  4. Select Preview dates and resolve instructor, location or timing conflicts.
  5. Confirm the schedule to activate the rules and prepare upcoming Classes.

Use a future change when the recurring timetable will change from a particular date. Ending a rule stops new Classes from that point; it does not silently remove existing Classes. Review Class Schedule when prepared future Classes must also be cancelled.

Open Academy → Class Schedule, choose the date range and filters, then select a Class. Use the available action to reschedule, cancel or substitute an instructor. Review conflicts and record the reason when prompted.

Changing one Class creates an exception without rewriting the weekly rule. Use the timetable for a continuing pattern change and the Class for a one-off change.

Save and complete a Class roster
  1. Open Academy → Attendance and choose a Class, or open it from Class Schedule.
  2. Select Refresh roster when enrolments changed before marking begins.
  3. Mark each learner Present, Absent, Late, Excused or leave the row Unmarked. Add the arrival time for Late.
  4. Use Mark unmarked on this page present only after checking every visible learner.
  5. Select Save attendance. Repeat across pages until no learner is Unmarked.
  6. Select Complete & lock to finish the Class and lock the saved attendance across Academy.

Attendance normally opens when the Class starts. Early entry requires override permission and a recorded reason. Cancelled Classes show any saved attendance as read-only history.

Users with correction permission can change one learner at a time on a locked sheet. Select the corrected status, enter a reason of at least 10 characters, and select Save correction. The prior and new values remain in correction history.

If the Class or attendance changes in another session while you work, use Review latest attendance before keeping or discarding your local choices.
